Frontier Adventures Summary to Date

The year is 3250AD man has conquered the stars and survived a 100 year war with the mysterious Thargoids.

Major power groups amongst the stars are the Empire, The Federation and The Alliance.

Our story starts in 3241 with Dante Gazara (Harry). The last thing he recalls is moving from the Federal Navy Academy to a secret special forces cybernetic program. After going under the knife he recalls nothing else until waking up in a pile of smoking rubble 9 years later.

Turns out he was the head of the President of the Federations personal guard, and that he assassinated her.

So after a lengthy public trial he ends up in the bowels of a rocky planetoid in the Ross 128 system that is the federations high security prison, there to rot for the rest of his life mining rock.

Enter Noah Bowery (Rob C), down on his luck trader and smuggler. Not much work and a shed load of loan to pay off on his ship, “The Ark”. Noah finds himself at Boston Base, in the Barnard’s Star system. Here his contact, Peter Kirkup, affectionately known as “Skanky Pete”, runs a seedy cocktail bar down on level 9.

Skanky Pete had some work for Noah, a contact by the name of Caroline Barker. She needed help getting her boss, Clifford Stryker, out of prison, Ross 128 coincidently! It wasn’t a great plan, but she’s only a glorified secretary and Noah is desperate for cash, so he accepted the plan. He hadn’t had any work since he’d had to deliver a mysterious package to an Arthur White on mars, a couple of days before the president was exploded by Dante.

Enter Erica von Heinsteiger (Rob G), hacker extraordinaire and sometime resident of the prison facility on Ross128. She’s in for stealing the plans to a new compact explosive cocktail from the federal navy. A job she got from Arthur White.

Noah manages to get himself and his ship to Ross128, and successfully gets himself thrown in prison for arriving without a permit. Slack security by the night shift mean his minor misdemeanour is not taken too seriously and a full body cavity search was not performed. So Noah managed to smuggle in some high powered explosives and a couple of bio-grenades.

So now all our PCs are in jail. They found a map.

Through a number of shinnanigans they broke out, through the ladies loos if I recall correctly. And off they flew with Clifford Stryker in Noahs ship to meet Caroline Barker and their reward!

They travelled to the Gateway system, where they found Caroline Barker, dead. Turns out she was also Cliffords partner, he was quite choked up really.

From Gateway the party travelled back to Barnards Star, hoping to find more work with Skanky Pete.

Firstly some fake IDs had to be sorted so Pete pointed the intrepid adventurers towards super forger Kevin Ng and his noodle serving Grandfather.

Expensive new IDs were obtained.

Next Dante wanted to find out more about the strange feelings he was having and his memory loss so he visited Dr. Jenny Joseph, cyber surgeon and part time coroner.

Turns out that Dante’s body is full of cyber gear he has no access to. Also we discovered Dante had a personality shunted into his cycber CPU that’s embedded deep in his grey matter. Dr.Joseph and her assistant downloaded this AI personality to a small computer and speech synthesizer, allowing Dante to talk to it.

Enter Helga, Imperial Spy and AI sleeper agent. She though claims no responsibility for the assassination, the last thing she recalls is meeting the vice president late in 3249, when Dante was in full control of his body, but he still hasn’t recovered those memories.

Dr. Joseph discovers a second AI personality shunt, from around the time of Helga’s last memory, although it’s been too badly damaged to recover.

Helga wants back in Dante’s head, and has offered to help him recover his memories and cyber abilities, a job she could only perform if she was uploaded back into his brain.

At this point Erica announces she kept a copy of the plans to the new fangled explosives, in a left luggage locker on Mars. Thinking this may well be worth some creds there’s a quick trip to Mars and back.

Peter suggests that Kevin Ng might have a buyer for the explosives recipe.

Only problem is Kevin and his Grandfather have been murdered. Erica hacks the network and finds out the Dr. Joseph has done the autopsy.

Dante Gazara – aka Tristan D’Ath – decided he would try and find out what she might know, using his “charm”.

Erica von Heinsteiger – aka Jessica Miller and Noah Bowery – aka, well, Noah – stayed at Skanky Pete’s. Erica was contemplating digging deeper into the police records and trying to work out how to bypass the federal ICE.

Meanwhile at Dr Jenny’s, a non-badged Para-military type was standing outside the door and telling Dante the surgery was closed. He also appeared to recognise Dante, and after Dante didn’t leave, double clicked his com device on his vest.

Dante, using his obvious inbuilt “spidey sense” (or being bored), drew his shiv and drove the blunt end of it into the neck of the guard, trying to stun him and cut off his circulation to his brain, taking the guard (as well as Iain and Rob) completely by surprise. He then tried to grapple the guard. Because he had succeeded at the grapple, the guard couldn’t draw his gun.

Dante used his shiv to cut the shoulder strap of the guards Laser SMG and take it from the guard, the door opened and another two guards appeared in the door, Dante yelled into his comms device, and fired it at all three of them, he could see Dr Jenny on the operating table with laser cuts to her body. He put rounds into all three of the guards, the one in the corridor and the two coming through the door, they were all wearing combat vests and these probably saved their lives.

Noah was thinking of getting his 40 credits back from the “Pirate” when they got a message from Dante on their coms, “I’m in trouble, Dr Jenny’s, quick …” with the sounds of gunfire in the background.

The guard in the corridor tried to run inside, Dante took aim and put another burst of ammo into him, effectively emptying his magazine, the guy yelled “Take him alive” and the two guards coming out flicked their stutter rifles to stun, and both hit Dante point blank, effectively knocking him out cold.

Erica and Noah ran out of Skanky Pete’s and headed as fast as they could to Level 12. When they stepped out of the lift, both with weapons drawn, but hidden under their cloaks, they could see bullet and burn marks on the walls outside Dr Jenny’s office. Erica and Noah stood either side of the door with weapons pointing at the door, Erica went and buzzed the intercom, and a voice said “Go away, we’re closed”. Erica replied, “Oh, sorry, I had credits for Dr Jenny and a bag to deliver to her.”

The guard went, “OK, hold on”, and Noah and Erica heard the door starting to open and aimed their pistols at the door at head height. The door was opened by a female guard, and she wore first a laser pistol blast and then a mass pistol shot to the face; she went down faster then a cold beer on a hot day. Noah stepped through the door with Erica covering him from the door, they saw another guard who started to draw his pistol and Dr Jenny on a table, as well as Dante, tied up and unconcious with another guard standing over him with a cranial saw.

Erica and Noah both fired at the guard drawing his pistol and he went down as fast as the female guard, the guard standing over Noah dropped the cranial saw, drew his weapon and aimed at Noah, “Fuck” he said as his Mass Pistol power pack discharged and he threw it to the ground, drew a remote of some sort and fired it at the wall to Erica and Noah’s right, where a blue light hit it and appeared to grow. Through this blue growing hole, it looked like another place, nighttime and a deserted street. Dante started to come to, shaking his head. The guard started to run towards the portal.

Dante used his telekinetic powers and snatched the portal remote from the guard, which stopped it’s beam, the result being the portal started shrinking.

Erica and Noah didn’t hesitate, Noah fired and his pistol power pack discharged, Erica fired her Mass pistol at him, hitting him in the side as he ran and dived through the portal which was starting to shrink.

Erica ran after him and dived through it, Dante yelled, “Noah, cut me loose,” as the remote floated over to Dante, he could see the co-ordinates of 0,0,0 on the remote.

Erica came through the portal to find Arthur White waiting for her (she realised he was who she delivered the explosive plans to before the President was blown up …), he threw a punch at her, but she easily dodged it, and fired a shot from her mass pistol at him, missing since she was still dodging, this emptied her magazine.

Noah used the cranial saw to free Dante and ran and jumped through the now manhole sized portal, appearing in time to see Erica miss Arthur White (he recognised as the person he delivered a small package to a few days before the President was blown up …)

Noah’s arrival was enough to distract Arthur White, and he kicked at Noah, glancing his kick off him. Erica changed her magazine and held her mass pistol aimed at Arthur’s head saying “Give up Arthur”. Arthur seemed to contemplate it for a few seconds then dived at Erica, she put a mass pistol shot into his head and Noah blew what was left of his head off with his laser pistol.

Erica and Noah looked around them, the portal had dissappeared. They looked up and saw what looked to be Earth’s moon (they recognised it immediately). Although some of Sol’s planets were visible there were no stars, and they seemed to be nebula-like clouds of some sort obscuring anything outside of the solar system (leading them to believe they weren’t on the real Earth).

They were in a deserted town in what appeared to be a desert. Erica checked for GPS satellites to see where they were, but couldn’t pick any up, reinforcing that they weren’t on the real earth.

Meanwhile, Dante called the Police to notify them of an attack on Dr Jenny in her office, collected a Laser SMG and spare mags, and inspected the portal remote device. He pushed a button and it said, “Input Co-ordinates”. He finally remembered the co-ordinates, put in 0,0,0 and pressed the button, creating a new portal, and went through it. He was in the desert and could see a small town with no lights on about three kilometres away and headed for it.

Noah and Erica lit a fire, and continued to look around, they found a Diner with a Jukebox and a few other business types buildings. They went into the town hall and found all of the pews taken with skeletons with their hands tied with plasticuffs and the tops of their skulls cut off.

Dante eventually arrived at the town and saw a fire and went and hid in the top floor of a building watching over the fire. Eventually Noah and Erica came out of a town hall and went to the fire, he whistled and both Noah and Erica could see him plain as day in the window of the building.

Dante gave the portal remote to Erica and she tried to find a “previous” co-ordinates used menu, but there wasn’t one. They told Dante about the town hall and he went to look, realising that he was going to end up in there if Noah and Erica hadn’t arrived to save him.

Erica transferred the wounds from Dante to herself, and then healed them using her Psionics.

The portal remote blipped and a message said that it had been detected and that the rescue team would be there in 5 hours. Our heroic trio decided to set an ambush with Dante putting on Arthur’s combat fatigues, and Erica and Noah taking up flanking positions. About 5 hours later, the remote blipped again, saying the rescue team would be there in 15 minutes.

Two large rescue vehicles (about the size of the drop ship from aliens) arrived and landed, the ramps dropping and eight androids with rifles coming out of each ship, heading for the fire at a jog.

Erica put in the co-ordinates of 4,1,2 and fired it at the wall, with Big Ben and the Thames appearing, she yelled into her comm “Come here, run, run now”. The heroic trio jumped through the portal and landed in the Thames, with the portal closing behind them. They could see the stars and no nebula above them.

The start of the evening finds our “trio de hero” in the Thames at dawn, it’s a warm summer morning with the sun streaming down, they swim out to the west bank and look around. They can see home of Big Ben and Parliament house not far from where they are (they recognise them from their school books …). All the buildings, the roads and pavement has been overgrown by nature. It is quiet, with only sounds of nature breaking the silence, the Thames is a beautiful clear blue colour. There is nobody visible anywhere.

Erica tries to bring up the GPS satellites (in a nebula free sky) on her wrist computer, wringing out her cloak and placing it, her skirt and her new top on the pavement in the sun to dry off, she takes off her new beautiful high heels and places them next to her clothes.

The GPS reports they are at a place called the Westminster Millenium Pier. She does a time synchronisation with the GPS satellites to find they are in London, 04 May 2109. The trio have a discussion and release that Earth didn’t become a Nature Reserve until 2525, something is off.

Erica puts the Portal Remote down to charge, it has 3 hours 40 minutes left to finish charging and she decides to sit with it and her mass pistol and enjoy the sun.

Noah pokes his head into a Caffe Nero shop. The front windows have been smashed and he steps in to have a look. There is of course no food, but he manages to find some disposable sugar sachets and puts them in his pocket.

Dante in the mean time heads north a bit further and finds a theatre, the door is chained close, so he shoots off the lock with his Laser SMG and pushes the doors open. It is dark inside, but Dante gets out his torch and looks around. There are two cinemas, and Dante chooses Cinema 1. The floor is covered in popcorn and Dante continues inside. It is not a very large cinema, with only 5 seats either side of the aisle and about 10 rows deep. He slowly makes his way down the aisle and comes across two small bodies sitting in the front row. He backs out of the cinema, leaves the Theatre and heads back to Erica, and runs into Noah on the way.

Erica is happy to sit and charge up the Portal Remote’s battery and bathe in the sun in her bra and knickers and declines going for a look around.

3 hours 20 minutes to fully charged.

They both head back to the theatre, and then to Cinema 1, Noah finds a broomstick and takes that with him, his Laser Pistol in one hand, the broomstick in the other. Dante has his torch and Laser SMG out. The continue down the aisle and take a closer look at the dead people in the front seats. There is what used to be a little girl, the top of her head is missing, Noah pushes her forward with his broomstick and she is found to have plasticuffs around her wrists.

Noah and Dante look at each other, it’s just like the people in the town hall in Silver Springs on the Nebula Earth. They look closer at the other body, it seems to be a small boy, there is a cut to his forehead going backward into his hairline. Noah uses his broomstick to push against the top of his head and it falls off. The brain has been scraped out. The little boy also had plasticuffs on.

Dante and Noah head out of the Cinema, they look at the movie posters for the first time, and notice all of the movie posters have been covered with a “Latest Government Newsreels” type posters. They decide to have a look up in the projection room, maybe they can watch one?

They get up to the projection room via a small spiral staircase behind a Staff Only door. They find racks of “digital data” keys, and lots of Government Newsreels keys. They plug it into the projector and turn it on … NOTHING. It suddenly occurs to them … THERE IS NO POWER. (oh, how Iain and I laughed …)

They find an old McDonalds bag, empty it of it’s contents and pour lots of these government newsreels into it and head out to Erica.

3 hours to fully charged.

Dante and Noah explain to Erica about the children in the theatre and hand her the McDonalds bag of keys. She spends the next 15 minutes jury rigging up a key connection to view them. Most have degraded beyond use, but they do manage to discover via these BBC news keys (mainly from the ticker at the bottom of the screens) that “Something is kiling off millions of people world wide, but leaving the children alone … no one knows if it is a virus, a disease, etc”

Barking, from perhaps a large pack of wild dogs can be heard and our heroes decide they can’t afford the ammunition to waste on dogs, so they decide to move, Erica puts on her beautiful high heeled shoes, her skirt and new top, picks up the Portal Remote and holsters her Mass pistol and after a quick look around decide the Theatre is the best bet. The barking is getting nearer.

They lock themselves into the theatre, and Noah slides his broomstick through the door handles to lock it. There is a loud bang as the dogs throw themselves against the door and then more barking and manic scratching. It’s time to get out of here.

Dante finds the exit from the cinema to an alley behind the theatre, they all follow him into a nearly enclosed courtyard surrounded by three to five story buildings. They jam something to stop the theatre door locking them out and find a large locked fire door at the back of one of the buildings, it is the “Guest House Late Rooms London” according to Erica’s map, it’s bound to have somewhere to rest or set up a base.

Noah and Dante shoulder the door, popping the fire latch and they look into a dark corridoor jammed with furniture, desks, tables and chairs, and written on the wall in red, “Leave me alone, go away”. Erica calls out “Hello,” but there is no answer. They let the fire door close behind them, break up some chairs and jam the legs and “bits” through the fire door to stop anyone coming in the way they did. By torchlight, they head down the corridoor, past a large kitchen and offices, and up stairs to a reception area with very ugly ’70′s carpet. The main door to the street is closed and looks secure. There is a water cooler with “green coloured” water in it and five other 19 litre water bottles.

Erica asks Dante to grab a couple of those and they head upstairs, opening doors to rooms as they go and flooding the corridors with light. On the fifth floor, they find the “Honeymoon Suite”, it is large, bright (after Erica opens the curtains” and airy, there is a big beautiful bed with only two skeletons on it, one of them holding a shot gun. Noah takes the shotgun. They wrap the bedspread gently around the skeletons and carry them to the “morgue” room down the hall. Any other skeletons they find also go the “morgue”.

Erica puts the Poral Remote in the steaming sunlight by the window. She asks if Dante can bring the other water bottles up to the room. She turns on the shower in the ensuite and a brown, smelly water comes out, she leaves it on and closes the door.

2 hours 45 minutes to fully charged.

Dante and Noah decide to go up to the roof and find the room access. They look around and from their fifth storey view can see that all of London is pretty much overgrown by nature. They work their way around the top of the building looking across roads and into alleys. They see the “dog pack” heading further north along the river.

Noah hears a noise and asks Dante to listen. It sounds like a whimpering or low crying, coming from an alley on the west side of the building. Dante heads over that way and can’t see anything, he whistles loudly and the crying stops. He whistles again and decides it must be a child as a dog or animal would have come out to see what was making the noise.

He decides to shimmy down the drainpipe from the fifth floor, in a building being overgrown by plants, brilliant After he gets down about 10′, the drainpipe starts to pull away from the building, Dante quickly slides down another 10′ to get past that part, and that starts to pull away from the building. In an awesome display of athletism, Dante slides down to within 10′ of the ground, then slips the last 10′ as 50′ of drainpipe pulls away from the wall and comes crashing down into the street, breaking the peaceful silence that existed before the trio arrived on this Earth.

Noah, seeing that Dante has made it safely to the ground keeps watch over him. Dante heads into the alley and finds a small girl, she looks up and shocked says “You’re so old, what have you done with Riks?” The beautiful Dante finds this quite unusual being in his early 30′s and tries to approach the girl, saying “It’s OK, I’m here to help you” and other reassuring words. The girl appears to be quite calm when the girl looks past Dante and yells, “Riks, help, this old person won’t let me go”.

Seeing this gang, Noah starts sprinting down the stairs to the first floor, to find a room facing the street.

Dante looks behind him to find a gang of five teenagers, quite feral looking and carrying makeshift weapons, blades on the ends of sticks, shards of glass with wrapped handles and the like.

Riks replies, “Charlotte, come here, quick,” reaching out to her. Dante puts his arm out to block her way, while watching Riks.
Noah gets to the 4th floor.

Charlotte bites his arm and runs to Riks.
Noah gets to the 3rd floor.

Dante tries to talk to Riks, but the children don’t want to talk to an “old” person
Noah gets to the 2nd floor.

Dante implores Riks to listen to him, Riks moves forward putting his “spear” in front of Dante’s neck
Noah gets to the 1st floor and smashes the window, pointing his Laser pistol out of it. Riks also asks “What have you done with Saff and Katy?”

During the conversation, Riks mentions that there haven’t been any “old” people since Nelson’s time, and mentions to the other ferals that they need to head back to the column.

Noah yells out “Do you know what this thing is?” Showing the children his Laser pistol, he fires it off at the wall opposite him and blows some red bricks apart.

Riks drops the spear from near Dante’s neck and warns him “Don’t follow us, leave us alone”.

The “ferals” run off to the north, with Riks holding Charlottes hand. Noah ties some sheets together and lowers it out the window for Dante to climb up.

2 hours 15 minutes to fully charged.

The dynamic duo come up to see Erica, she has cleaned her room, the shower water is more clear, but not flowing as fast (the roof tank must be emptying), she has found the linen closet of the hotel and changed her sheets, she has put clean sheets on Noah and Dante’s beds (though not made them for them, she is not their maid).

Eventually, they mention about the kids in the alley and Erica is a bit mystified why they waited so long to tell her about the incident. They discuss the conversation Dante had with the kids and work out that they must be talking about Trafalgar Square, and head downstairs to leave their luxurious hotel. They decide that if a pack of children can roam the streets, then it should be safe for them.

2 hours to fully charged.

They discuss options and wait for the Portal Remote to be fully charged.

They head downstairs into the lobby. Erica looks for a key to the front door, and finds it conveniently on a hook marked Front Door. They unlock the door and head out, locking the door behind them. Erica holds onto the Portal Remote, ensures her Mass Pistol is secure and with her companions heads to the left and then right, heading north for Nelson’s Column.

After a couple of minutes, they can see a makeshift barrier around trafalgar square, made of most any materials with barbed wire on top and “guards” patrolling along it.

Our brave triumvirate continue up to within hailing distance of the gates, where Erica yells out “Hello”, she is answered by a “Go away”. This clever comeback does not deter our Heroine.
“Is there anyone in there we can talk to?” is Erica’s very clever riposte.

“Where did those old people come from?” comes a voice from within behind the barrier.
“From another planet,” yells back Erica,
“What was that?”
“From another planet,” repeats Erica, yelling back,

They hear Riks say “That’s the old people that had Charlotte in the alley”.
“Dante here was trying to help her, he heard her crying”, replies Erica, “He had no intention of harming her, can someone come in and talk to you, all this yelling is giving me a sore throat.”

Erica asks Dante and Noah to sit down and moves forward a couple of metres. “These two may appear old, but look at me, I’m still very young, and they haven’t harmed me”

They hear a hushed conversation and the barrier is opened and an “old” feral child comes out.

Erica brings up the movie list on her wrist computer, and finds some clips of rockets and pictures of planets and similar.

Erica assumes a non-aggresive posture, and says “Hi, I’m Erica”, to which the young adult (who must be about Erica’s age) replies, “I’m the Admiral”.
“Admiral Nelson?”
“No, he’s Admiral Nelson,” he says pointing up at the Nelson’s Column, “I’m Admiral Jake”
“Ahhh, well it’s nice to meet you Admiral.”
“What do you mean another planet?”
Slightly exasperated, Erica shows him some of the movie clips, showing planets and spaceships, “You’ve got little people in your arm,” gasps Jake.
“No, you know when you draw on the ground,” Erica asks of Jake. He nods, “Well, this is sort of like that, but better,” replies Erica.
“Oh,” remarks Jake, that obviously explaining that.

Erica brings up the list of the Protective Staff on the President’s party, “Do you recognise any of these names?” she asks of Jake, “I can’t read,” he replies.

“Where have all the “old” people gone?” asks Erica,
“They’re all dead, I’ll die soon,” replies Jake,
“What age do people die?”
“About twenty five or so,” is the answer,
“Then why are you so afraid of old people?”
“Because some came along a few weeks ago, and they took Saff and Katy, and we never saw them again.”
“Oh, I’m afraid I might know where they are, was Saff a little blonde boy?”
“Yes,” replies Jake, Erica describes the theatre where they are.
“Were the old people who took Saff and Katy dressed all in black, wearing clothes that look like this?” asks Erica bringing up combat fatigues and flak jacket pictures on her wrist computer.
“Yes, that’s what they looked like.”

Erica shows Jake the Portal Remote, “Were they carrying one of these, and did they use it to make a hole in the sky?”
“I didn’t see anything like that device,” says Jake.

“OK, we are hunting these people, the ones who killed Saff and Katy, we’ve killed three of them so far, and we’re tracking down the other eight, did any of them use these names?” and Erica reads off the names left on the list.
“I don’t remember any of them,” says Jake.
“We really are against them and we want to help you,” replies Erica.
“I understand says Jake, but I still can’t let you in there, I have their safety to look after,” retorts Jake.
“OK,” replies Erica, “thank you for your help Admiral.”

At that, Erica and her companions head back to their hotel, unlock the door, lock it behind them and head up to the Honeymoon Suite.

This game session finds us in the honeymoon suite, there is nothing we can do on this version of Earth and London. None of the “trio de hero” can think of any reason to stay longer. We have a conversation on what co-ords to input and Dante suggests 0,1,1. Noah and Erica look at each other and decide to not use anything Dante suggests, so Erica inputs the coordinates of 0,1,0 into the Portal Remote, only to find a “Cannot be used at this height, use at ground level” type message.

Dante grabs a 19 litre bottle of water and we head downstairs and unlock the front door, head out, lock the door behind us and keep the key. We head down to the Thames where we first appeared and Erica punches in 0,1,0, we are about to check what we can see through there when we hear a loud human voice yell something foreign. Erica, ever the action girl, dives through the portal.

Dante and Noah swing into action a different way, Dante’s laser SMG comes up pointing at a tall, muscular heavily bearded, long scraggly haired man (Glenn). He is in what looks to be patched cloth and leather clothes, wearing a backpack and more importantly pointing a drawn bow at Dante the arrow aiming at his heart. Noah draws and points his laser pistol at him.

He seems to know Dante as he says, “You tried to kill me and my brother.” (this is becoming a much too frequent occurrence for Erica’s liking, is there anyone he hasn’t tried to kill??).

There is the typical macho stand off until Erica, noticing the portal closing, picks up a pebble from the floor of the cave she appears to be in and lobs it at Noah’s head, to get his attention. When Noah looks at her, she signals to come here NOW as the portal is closing. Noah mentions this to Dante who during this time has lowered his weapon along with their new “friend” and the two of them jump through the portal.

Our new “friend”" also dives through the closing portal, rolling and coming up into a crouched fighting stance with a very hi-tech dagger drawn. Erica is about to say something to him when another very small figure comes through the portal as it closes.

“Charlotte?” asks Dante, “She’s the little girl I tried to corner in the alley”, he says, innocently. Charlotte is looking up at this new “soldier” in a girlish crush manner, just what we need. We are just about to make introductions when there is movement from deeper in the cave (which is very cold, almost freezing when you are in a short skirt, crop top and lovely new high heels.) A big white polar bear (is there any other type?) takes an aggressive stance and looks like it doesn’t like visitors to it’s cave.

Dante says we’re supposed to make ourselves “bigger” to scare it off, and Erica looks at 9 or 10 year old Charlotte. Erica races over to grab Charlotte just as the bear takes a swipe at her, it’s claws raking through Charlotte’s clothing into her body and arm. Erica then turns and runs towards the entrance to the cave, the bear coming after her.

Dante and the “new guy” both flatten themselves against the wall, with the “new guy” being closer to the bear. As it charges after Erica, he dives onto the bear’s back and rakes it with his knife … (more to follow)

Went to SIS(0,0,0) ended up in Paris. Shopped at the sports store. Met resistance. Boat trip. Premonition. Drop ship. Brush up. Plan to rotate back to Arizona.

The last session follow, it’s just bullet points.

• Waited in dead desert for 8 hours or so.
• Opened portal to SIS(0,0,0)
• Coulnd’t connect due to existing connection, was offered preview.

• “We have all the parts of the coordinates except those that Dante was to recover from Thorold.”
• “We need those last coordinates to find the Thargoid homeworld, they simply don’t exist in any other dimension!”
• Connected to Arizona.
• Long straight road, yellow central line.
• Drop ship dropped off two androids at concrete bunker on hill.
• Dealt laser and arrow based death to androids.
• Took two plasma rifles. 1 clip in each.
• Entered bunker
• Found cryo tubes and Dr Jake McDruggle(Pete O)
• Discovered Dr Jake helped build the evil brain eating AI back in the 70′s
• “At first we just planned to feed it worthless grey matter, hobos and the like, the dregs of society, a way for them to give back after a life of sponging”
• “Then it kind of got out of hand.”

• Decided to take Dr.Jake with us, either to make him pay or offer him a chance for repentance and to make do.
• Dr. Jake reveals his armoury, complete with a fully working prototype Hummvee, nitrogen sealed in shrinkwrap.
• Armoury contained two stingers and a 50cal fitted to the Humvee, as well as a number of grenades, M16s, claymores and ammo.
• Noah is designated driver.
• Augustus recognises area and knows the way to Peter Kirkup and his Arizona resistance cell.
• Noah drives out onto the mountain road.
• Dante is on the 50.
• Low hum of drop ship is heard.
• Erica goes to pass a stinger to Dante, discovers flight case is digitally locked, hacks it in a single round. +1 tally on Hacking Rob!
• Dante actually misses with the stinger.
• Noah dodges a number of incoming missiles.
• Erica passes him another, and rolls for an assist. Amazing assist on the modern ranged weapons roll. +1 tally for MRW Rob!
• Erica, “You know if you press this button here it’s heat seeking” -3 step bonus to Dante’s shot.
• Dante wings the drop ship, it tumbles into the mounting in a flaming ball.
• Get to Petes
• Dump Charlotte there
• Off to find Augustus’s ship.
• Between them Erica, Noah and Dr Jake are able to unhook the D-Jump drive and get it powered enough for it to report what OCS coordinates it is at.
• Load D-Jump onto back of Hummvee
• Drive through portal to Dead London
• Using the OCS coordinates for Dead London that the D-Jump drive is now reporting able to work out the conversion factor between OCS and SIS coordinates and so the SIS coordinates for [OCS:0,0,0] allowing us to travel to Augustus’s home reality with the SIS Quantum Tunneler.
• Dead london turns out to be [OCS: -0.62,-1.24,-4.96], if coords were the same scale then it would be expected to be [-1,-2,-8]
• Conversion factor turns out to be 0.62, the number of miles in a kilometer.
• So we all head off to OCS!

So now we are in the OCS reality where Glenn’s character is from.
